THE SHOWING LANDSCAPE

The Hanbury Countryside Show is one of a trio of traditional ‘post and rope’ style events taking place over four weekends in mid-summer. (See also http://www.inkberrowshow.co.uk and The Feckenham Horse Show.) This remarkable concentration of local shows in a small corner of Worcestershire, is a rarity in modern-day Britain, and bears testament to a strong community involvement and enduring support from day one.

As the lines between urban and rural living blur, and the landscape evolves, there’s an increasing appreciation for local food and a resurgence in conservation efforts. The Show has adapted to provide a platform for local businesses and organisations to showcase products and services, which supports the local and regional economy and makes the event more relevant in today’s world.
